Arizona and the Grand Canyon

Ashley and I had the opportunity to get away for 9 days with her extended family for a vacation to Arizona. We decided to take advantage of the collapsed real estate bubble and rent a giant 6 bedroom house rather than stay at a hotel. It was a great way to go, we had the option to cook (which we did almost every night in the huge chef’s kitchen) or go out for dinner. We took a short trip up through Flagstaff to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and were blown away by the scale of the place, along with the raging winds and falling snow. All the photos you see of the place are in the summer, and no one bothers to mention that the rim is at almost 8,000 feet, so gets a heck of a lot of snow!
