When does skiing stop being fun?0

When this happens.

Yesterday I took a bit of a tumble late in the day at Mont Tremblant and managed to give myself a compound fracture in my right collarbone. Frankie had me doing range of motion exercises right after the fall and everything seemed ok (I was in shock) but by the time I got down to the bottom of the hill and back to the chalet I knew something was up when my neck to shoulder line had a 1-inch depression in it. We drove to the closest hospital an hour away and after 3 hours lying on a spine board I was finally cleared for neck injuries and shuttled on for x-rays to the collarbone. I’ll have 6 weeks of taking it easy, meaning a good chunk of this year’s ski season is on the ice.
