Brazil!0
After a rough few weeks in July that took me to London, UK for a short but incredibly painful two-week stint of work, I returned to Chile and we headed off for a 9-day vacation in Brazil. First on the list was Rio de Janeiro, the historical capital of Brazil and centre of beach culture. We spent 3 days exploring Santa Teresa, a beautiful old neighbourhood of mansions now turned bohemian, Copacabana, Ipanema and the centro. We were sure to hit up Christ the Redeemer for an incredible view of the city in all directions, not to mention the fabulous food Rio has to offer. After a short bus ride east we spent 5 days in Buzios, a small peninsular village surrounded by 20 beaches and clear water. While the Atlantic was a tad chilly (coming out of the winter) we had an excellent time enjoying the sun, walking the beach and cruising around in our buggy–albeit having to dodge buses we were sharing the road with from time to time.
Brazil was incredible, we can’t wait to go back!
